I am an excellent communicator and I enjoy spending time with my patients, ensuring that I give them the time they deserve. I am a Compassionate and dedicated care assistant in providing high quality care, putting people at the centre of what I do and considering each individual as unique. I like listening carefully to what they say, as effective Communication is important in order to understand people’s needs and meet them. I have intention to details which can help people I care for to live meaningful lives. Respecting privacy and confidentiality of people is what I also consider while treating people with respect and dignity. I am always non-judgmental towards my clients respecting their opinions, views and beliefs. I enjoy being part of a team and contributing to its overall. All those skills have learned and enhanced them over 2 years of being a care worker and I am keen to do any learning to enhance my ability to work as a competent care assistant. My first job in care was as a domiciliary carer, then I worked in a care home for elderly people living with dementia, and currently I am working in a nursing care home.
Being a care worker can be stressful ,however what I enjoy about this job is that it gives me the opportunity to make a difference to people's lives, to put a smile on their faces . An adage says ' do not expect to receive what you do not give'. One day, I would need people to look after myself, or a member of my family and I consider this job as an opportunity for me to treat other people or look after them the way I will want or want a member of my family to be taken care of.
In my spare time, I like singing, listening to music. I enjoy watching movies, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also like reading or watching videos about anatomy and physiology as I am very interested in this subject.
I am an adult student nurse in first year at University of Bedfordshire.
I am fluent in French and English.
